What Is Balance & Mobility Assessment?

Both balance and mobility are particularly important as we enter our older stages of life. Falls become common in older adults and can lead to complications such as fractures. Our Physios can help to minimise the risk of falling by identifying the cause of poor balance and beginning exercise and training regimes to counter the deficiencies. We are also able to suggestions for adaptations to the home to minimise chance of falling in high risk areas.

How we can help?

In the event that somebody requires a gait aid, The Physio Company has staff who can accurately test and identify what the most adequate form of aid will be. And we can also provide it. We can visit the more elderly at home or in their nursing home at a time that suits them if they are unable or it is inconvenient for them to come to us.

If you or someone close to you are beginning to experience falls you should see a chartered physiotherapist for a full assessment and appropriate treatment. Where necessary your physio will recommend further investigations with your GP or an appropriate specialist.

Our approach is to provide one-on-one treatments with a therapist each session to provide efficient, quality care.
