What is the Joint Care Programme?
The Joint Care Programme is an innovative and proactive musculoskeletal (MSK) and mobility screen aimed at detecting joint, muscle and balance (falls risk) issues in advance of them causing further injury. The screen is delivered by a Chartered Physiotherapist who examines a number of areas over the course of screen:
The Joint Care Programme will be available in 26 centres across Ireland and only lasts 30 minutes. Once your screen has been completed, you will receive a fully personal report that will contain an MSK score out of 100, a falls risk score, and targeted advice around each of the areas screened. Depending on your score, you will be recommended app based exercises with remote monitoring, targeted sessions with a Physiotherapist and / or a falls rescreen within 12 months.
The price of the screen is €90, however the screen is fully covered or partially covered for many Vhi Customers. For more details on your cover please see your Table of Benefits, or call our contact centre on (056) 444 4444.
