James Durkan, Chartered Physiotherapist
Qualifications & Education
James is a full licensed Chartered Physiotherapist under CORU and a current member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. James obtained his BSc. in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin. Since then James has gained experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Since qualifying James has gained experience treating both individual athletes and GAA teams, as well as developing his musculoskeletal skills assessing and treating individuals through private practice work. He believes in making individualized rehabilitation and prehabilitation programs for clients to prevent risk of future injury. James has also experience with both orthopaedic and general post-surgical populations and has completed two separate internships as a physiotherapist in a paediatric setting.
James has a keen interest in working with athletes of all ages and all sporting backgrounds. James has specific interest in working with GAA players, track and field and cross-country athletes, triathletes and weight lifters, which are the main sports which he part-takes in himself.
