Qualifications & Education
David studied a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists with current professional indemnity insurance.
He can use the title Chartered Physiotherapist as soon as his CORU (state) registration is complete, which is in process.
He completed his Bachelors Degree in Sport Science in St. Mary’s University, London whereby specializing in exercise physiology. Following completion of his degree, David went on to obtain a distinction in his Masters in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Whilst studying his master’s degree, David provided lecturing support on the Functional Anatomy module for undergraduates. David is currently undertaking a diploma in Mindfulness-Based Interventions – MCBT/MBSR at The Mindfulness Centre, Dublin.
David has a wealth of experience working in professional sport including football, rugby, boxing, gymnastics, track and field and badminton. Having completed a few years working in the elite sporting profession, David decided to return to Ireland and focus his attention on private practice and hospital experience. He has a special interest in lower limb injuries including ACL reconstruction and tendinopathies. Furthermore, a special interest of his is chronic pain and mindfulness, and he aims to ensure all his patients can perform meaningful activities whilst recovering with him.
David enjoys being outside in nature and spending his weekends hiking or travelling. To get away from daily stressors, he really enjoys hitting the roads for a run or throwing a few weights around in the gym.
