Qualifications & Education
Amanda holds a BSc Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the Brazilian University UNIBH (Centro Universitário de Belo Horizonte). She is a Chartered Physiotherapist and current member of the ISCP (Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists). Amanda is also involved with the Chartered Physiotherapists for Women’s Health interest group.
Experience & Interests
Amanda has a wealth of experience working in private practice for the past 4 years in Dublin. She is experienced in treating musculoskeletal injuries dealing with neck, back, hip and joint pain. She also has years of experience with lymphatic drainage technique, treating a wide range of lymphatic illness. She provides a 100% hands-on technique using a combination of manual soft tissue procedures such as myofascial release & trigger point therapy when assessing and addressing her client’s particular issues. Amanda is also highly skilled in dry needling and kinesiotaping which she uses in conjunction with other physiotherapy treatments where appropriate.
Amanda has a particular interest and passion for Women’s health with a focus on the rehabilitation of pelvic floor dysfunction. She is focusing on further development and training in this area at present.
