Warwick Gordon, Clinical Director - Chartered Physiotherapist, Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Therapy
Qualifications & Education
Warwick is a fully licensed Musculoskeletal Chartered Physiotherapist with current membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and New Zealand Physiotherapy board. He completed his BHSc - Physiotherapy at the Auckland University of Technology where he later went on to complete a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in order to practice as a clinical specialist. Since arriving in Ireland he has worked with UCD mentoring both under-graduate and post-graduate students on clinical placement while carrying out tutorial sessions on the undergraduate programme.
Warwick has developed his skills working in private practice in both New Zealand and Ireland over the last 12 years and currently oversees our Physiotherapy team as Clinical Director. He has a strong interest in disorders associated with running and power lifting, in particular their underlying biomechanics. He has spent many years working in team environments with Marist Rugby in the Auckland Premier Rugby League and Bective Rangers in the All Ireland League which has helped enhance his skill in treating the wide variety of traumatic injuries seen within rugby. Warwick currently works with the Irish Power Lifting team (IPF) and will be travelling with them to the World Championships in Texas this year.
When Warwick’s not at work he enjoys getting into the gym, and should a little sunshine sneak through the clouds, a run out in one of the many fantastic parks around Dublin on the weekend. He also fancies himself as bit of a dab hand in the kitchen, which you’ll find necessitates the need for him to get to the gym and go for the occasional run (vicious cycle).
