Brian Crinion, Chartered Physiotherapist
Qualifications & Education
Brian is a fully licensed Chartered Physiotherapist with current membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP). He obtained his BSc. Physiotherapy Degree in the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. He holds a FETAC certified qualification in Manual Handling Instruction and is also qualified as a Workstation Assessor in the area of Ergonomics. Brian is currently the Education Officer of the Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health & Ergonomics Committee (CPOHE), as well as the Advertising Manager for Firsthand Magazine which is published by the ISCP.
Since graduating from college, Brian has worked in a wide variety of areas within Physiotherapy. In the past, he has done some voluntary work in Peamount hospital, as well as working with several local sports teams. His experiences have also taken him into private industry with a particular emphasis on Occupational Health and Ergonomics.
Within Physiotherapy, it is very important to treat the affected area but prevention of injury is also an essential feature of our profession. While working within the area of Occupational Health, Brian has obtained invaluable knowledge and insight into common life and work-related causes of back pain and other disorders. These experiences have provided him with the necessary skills and information on how to best treat these common conditions.
Brian is a hands on Physiotherapist, with particular emphasis on manual therapy, trigger point release and exercise prescription. He also takes a holistic approach to patient treatment, with a great emphasis on goal setting and getting patients back doing the things that are important to them.
