Qualifications & Education
Juliana is a fully licensed Chartered Physiotherapist with current membership of the ISCP (Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapy) and the Brazilian Physiotherapy Association Crefito-5. She obtained her BSc Physiotherapy degree at Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos - UNISINOS, Brazil. She is committed to Continuous Professional Development and has completed post-courses in Neurology, Intensive Care Physiotherapy, Traumatology and Sports Injuries Rehabilitation. She is also qualified and certified to perform Dry Needling.
Juliana has experience in Brazil and Ireland in private rehabilitation clinics working with sports injuries and musculoskeletal injuries. She has also obtained experience in orthopaedics, specifically in degenerative diseases. In addition, Juliana has worked extensively with sports injuries, mostly soccer teams in Brazil, treating acute and chronic injuries. Prior to all of this she worked in a hospital in Brazil completing her rotations in Cardiology, Oncology, General Surgery and Intensive Care Unit. She also worked in the Neurology department working with patients with Neurological conditions, Neuromuscular diseases and patients post neuro - surgery. At the same time she had the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, specialising in ALS developing studies and research about ALS.
As a Brazilian she is a huge fan of soccer and living in Ireland has led her to become a great Gaelic Football fan. She enjoys watching the matches and understanding the biomechanics of sports. She is an avid runner and uses running to stay fit.
Julianna is very interested in Neurology, Sports injuries and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation helping patients to get back to their activities as quickly as possible, Juliana is a very hands on therapist.
