Grace MacLellan, Chartered Physiotherapist
Qualifications & Education
Grace is a fully licensed Chartered Physiotherapist with current membership of the ISCP (Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists). Grace graduated from University College Dublin with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy and an MSc Research degree.
For the summers of 2015-2016, Grace was the acting paediatric physiotherapist in school programs based the United States with focus on developmental delay, autism, cerebral palsy, etc. She also has experience working in India in a similar paediatric setting. Grace has also worked in a busy outpatient clinic in the United States, and with Irish ladies’ rugby and football teams. Throughout her clinical placements in college and her post-graduate career, Grace has treated a variety of paediatric cases, sports injuries, chronic musculoskeletal conditions, including low back, neck, and joint pain. Grace is a published author of scientific research in a peer-reviewed journal around her MSc. Research studies on musculoskeletal pain in obesity.
While Grace specialises in paediatric physiotherapy, she has a keen interest in care of the elderly and neurorehabilitation. Grace is working on acquiring post-graduate certificates in exercise prescription for neurological disorders in children and adults as well as in dry-needling therapy.
When not working as a physio, Grace is in the kitchen working on her cooking and baking skills or dog-sitting for families around Dublin. Although American-born, Grace can’t get enough of Irish culture, not to mention the rain!
