Donnacha Egan, Chartered Physiotherapist
Qualifications & Education
Donnacha is a Musculoskeletal Chartered Physiotherapist registered with the ISCP (Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists), who completed his BSc in Physiotherapy in 2015. Having attained his Physiotherapy degree from UCD, he has amassed over 1000 clinical hours in hospital and primary care settings, as well as gaining experience by volunteering with UCD GAA with the ladies football teams, and men fresher hurling and football teams, and with the Dublin U16 footballers. He is a certified Mat Pilates instructor, with qualifications in dry needling and manipulative techniques.
Since graduating in 2015, Donnacha has been working in private practices in Dublin, Roscommon and Wicklow, where he has fine-tuned his diagnostic and treatment skills. At the weekends he works with Senior Gaelic Football clubs in Mayo and Roscommon, who are both extremely competitive in their respective league and championship campaigns. Donnacha has also spent some time working in nursing homes in Roscommon, building experience with Cardiorespiratory and Neurological conditions.
Donnacha has always had a keen interest in sport, representing club, county and region in football and basketball. With that much time on the pitch and court, what followed was considerable time also spent on the treatment table. Amazed at being able to get back to pain free sport and day to day activities, and keen to learn more, he went on to study Physiotherapy in UCD.
