Qualifications & Education
Clare is a fully practicing member of the ISCP (Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists) for the last six years. She obtained her Physiotherapy degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She is a member of various clinical interest groups including the CPWHC (Chartered Physiotherapists in Women's Health and Continence), CPMT (Chartered Physiotherapists in Musculoskeletal Therapy) and CPSEM (Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports & Exercise Medicine). Clare has completed courses in Mulligan concepts of mobilisations, dry needling and kinesiotaping and she recently completed the falls and movement disorder module in Gerontology Rehabilitation in UCC.
Clare has been practicing since qualifying 6 years ago in both private practice and residential homes resulting in experience treating musculoskeletal and sports injuries and providing orthopaedic, neuromuscular, cardiac and respiratory rehabilitation for both long term and respite care clients. She has a special interest in falls prevention and has set up and run falls prevention programmes in various long term care facilities including one to achieve JCI accreditation where the falls programme was highly commended.
